Student Organizations

Volunteer Opportunities at UF

Check our calendar of events for volunteer opportunities when available. The Office of Community Relations and the Center for Leadership and Service also offer numerous resources to Gators who would like to get more involved in the community.

Champions for Change Awards

A partnership of the Office of Sustainability and Healthy Gators, the Champions for Change Awards recognize individuals or groups who have made significant contributions in the areas of sustainability and/or health during their time at UF.

Award Categories
  • Sustainability (which can encompass efforts made in the areas of waste reduction, water/energy conservation, social equity, outreach/engagement, academics, green teams, etc.)
  • Health and Well-being (which includes efforts made in the areas of physical, social, spiritual, or emotional well-being.)

UF/IFAS Extension Programs

As a state land grant university, UF also has a special obligation to meet the demand for sustainable living practices for the residents of Florida’s 67 counties. IFAS/Extension has many award winning resources that facilitate sustainable living.
