Clean-Upalooza
Due to recent developments surrounding COVID-19, UF Campus Earth Week events have been cancelled or postponed indefinitely. For more information about these changes, please click here. If you or your organization have signed up to volunteer, you will receive an e-mail from the UF Office of Sustainability soon.
As part of 2020 Campus Earth Week:
On April 11th, we will be hosting clean-ups at multiple natural areas around campus and we need YOUR help to make this the biggest clean-up and invasive species removal ever held at the University of Florida!
Sign up as a GROUP/ORGANIZATION or as an INDIVIDUAL – anyone can make a difference!
UF has over 30 natural conservation areas on campus that support habitat for native species. During this event, volunteers will be a part of UF’s ongoing Tree Campus USA efforts to keep the natural areas free of litter and invasive species. The 2020 Clean-Upalooza efforts will focus on:
- Bartram-Carr Woods
- Lake Alice & University Gardens
- Harmonic Woods
- McCarty Woods
- Graham Woods
Info for Volunteers:
Please wear clothes that you don’t mind if they get dirty or wet, closed-toe shoes, and bring work gloves if you have them (we have some to share). As for all outdoor adventures, please bring weather-appropriate clothes, water, sunscreen if needed, etc. Sustainable UF will also provide some snacks but we ask that you bring your own full water bottle. The service event will take place rain or shine.
