Are you passionate about conservation and ready to be a change agent on campus? Look no further than the Biodiversity Internship with the UF Office of Sustainability! We’re thrilled to offer a paid internship that provides hands-on experience and a chance to engage the campus community in our conservation areas.

Qualifications We’re Looking For

✔️ Active Campus Engagement: We’re seeking individuals who have demonstrated a strong connection with the campus community and a genuine commitment to making a difference.

✔️ Hands-On Habitat Experience: If you’re familiar with habitat assessment and plant species identification, you’re ahead of the game! Show us your knowledge and passion for conserving ecosystems.

✔️ Community Collaboration: Exposure to community engagement and working with volunteer groups is a plus. Showcase your ability to foster collaboration and teamwork.

✔️ Effective Communication: Strong communication and time management skills are crucial. We want team members who thrive in a collaborative environment and can encourage increased student engagement with our campus conservation areas.

✔️ Sustainability Advocate: Your dedication to sustainability is at the core of this internship. Let us know how your passion aligns with sustainability and the conservation of campus natural resources.

Your Journey with Us

🌿 Collaborative Scheduling: We understand that scheduling your time as a student can be difficult. You’ll work collaboratively with our staff to find the best schedule for you! Student interns are expected to be enrolled at UF for at least 6 credit hours per semester, have completed at least 1 semester, and commit to working a minimum of 10 hours per week for this experiential internship.

🌱 Paid Internship: Receive $12 per hour as you contribute to our sustainable campus initiatives.

🌎 Room for Growth: The internship extends through Fall 2023, with potential opportunities to renew for Spring and Summer 2024.
