UF moves up to #55 in Sierra Club ranking of “Cool Schools”
GAINESVILLE, Fla — For the first time in five years, the University of Florida has been ranked in Sierra Club’s “Cool Schools” program, making the leap from #84 in 2010 to #55 for 2015. The program, which is designed to rank America’s greenest universities, scores each participating school based on a variety of criteria ranging from sustainability-related course offerings and faculty research involvement to vegan food options available on campus. UF earned 655.69 points out of a possible 1,000, ranking above 98 other universities.
