Melissa DeSa - Intern Fall 2007
Melissa DeSa is pursing a Masters degree in Interdisciplinary Ecology at the School of Natural Resources and Environment at UF. Melissa has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Guelph (Guelph, Ontario Canada) in wildlife biology. Much of her experience lies in wildlife and ecological issues, which is currently part of her Masters degree. She hopes to pursue a career that ties in nature conservation with sustainability issues. As an intern, Melissa is participating in the Visioning sessions that collaborate with people across departments at UF in order to outline and implement a sustainable vision for campus. She is also researching laboratory energy and water usage to help improve UF laboratories sustainable use of resources.
