What is A Green Team Member/Leader?
Green Team members will have the opportunity to provide meaningful service to UF, while networking across campus and promoting and encouraging sustainable actions and attitudes in the workplace by leadership and example.   As a Green Team member you will receive regular updates on sustainability program activities, opportunities, etc… and will get university-wide recognition for your efforts.

As a Green Team member, you commit to:

  • lead by example
  • endeavor to understand the consequences of your actions
  • rethink personal and institutional behaviors that lead to wasteful consumption patterns and work to reduce them
  • engage in activities that build a sustainable campus and community, and encourage friends and colleagues to do the same
  • stay involved with the Green Team Network by attending trainings/meetings and entering your efforts in the Project Database

There will be training and support for Green Team members throughout the year to help you learn about sustainable guidelines and practices and to strategize implementation of conservation practices in you areas.  We are currently looking for College and Department Green Team Leaders to help with the coordination and communication of efforts.  If you are interested in leading a Green Team, or in joining a group of your peers to help Gators go Green, please contact Anna Prizzia at aprizzia@ufl.edu or 352-392-7578.
