The Green Team Network

If you are interested in helping to reduce use of resources and costs in your UF College, Department or Organization, you are invited to become a member of the Green Team Network. Whether faculty or staff, you can serve as Green Team member or Leader.  As a member of the Green Team, you will act as a representative and liaison on campus for continuing efforts to develop a sustainable university.

This endeavor is fostered by the individual efforts of the team members within their affiliated areas, as well as group efforts campus-wide. It is the ultimate goal of the Network to develop strategies for campus-wide reduction of resource use and waste production in an effort to find sustainable solutions to our most consuming problems.  We also hope the teams will help generate new ideas, establish partnerships, and share information about sustainable research and practices with the campus community.

More specifically, Green Teams:

  • represent the Office of Sustainability and its activities to a designated group of peers/colleagues
  • provide feedback to the Office from these groups
  • assist the Office in creating, promoting and implementing programs within their unit
  • provide information and cooperation across teams

Tip of the Monthleaf icon
Changing margins on your documents to 1" or less will reduce the amount of paper you require by at least 8% with hardly any effort.
Imagine saving close to 1 football field of trees just by reducing your margins!
